Introduction

The following portfolio covers several areas of discussion including coversations on social class as well as commentaries on the definition of photography in general.  The series-titles located to left offer a glimpse into the lives of those photographed.

There is continued interest about the relationship between how people present themselves in public and the way in which assumptions are made based on certain visual clues.  Often times stereotypes are wrongly formed and in an increasingly multi-national environment these stereotypes are compounded by cases of racial profiling.  The investigations of this portfolio respond to a different side of stereotypes, where those being judged are those most respected in their given circles - living a life devoid of the disgraceful antics of so many of our generation's current role models.

The photographs represented relate to an older way of thinking - a forgotten way except by those that still live their lives by it.  The people included serve as keys to unlock clues surrounding the true meaning of family, gentlemen, ladies, craftsmen, and even the mentally ill.  In the same manner of a reporter, these images seek to uncover the truth about these topics and how influential they are in today's fast-paced world of commerce and conflict.

While the newer work does not include recognizable images of any nature, the work challenges viewers to look beyond the confines of sight into a deeper level of emotion.  The pieces evoke feelings of continuity and stability - permanent icons meant to transcend the ages through periods of dismay and prosperity.  Admirers are called upon to interact with the work not only for the craftsmanship, but for the historical art references as well.

The goal of the ongoing portfolio is to create images that all types of people can respect and converse with.
